Bibliotheca Wittockiana

The Bibliotheca Wittockiana is a private museum with library in St. Pieters-Woluwe in the Belgian Brussels-Capital Region. The museum was developed from the private collection of special book tires by Belgian industrialist Michel Wittock. It was opened in 1983 and extended in 1996 with a floor. On September 20, 2003, an official inauguration followed.

The collection consists mainly of old and modern book tires, artist books and objects around the printing industry in general. In addition, there is a comprehensive scientific library, with a reading room where the works can be consulted. The museum offers guided tours and training. Regular exhibitions are organized around the history of the book and the booklet.

In recent years, parts of the collection have been sold. Also see Externe link 50° 49′ 56″ NB, 4° 25′ 13″ OL
