Calvin Richard Klein (New York, November 19, 1942) is an American fashion designer. He gave his name to the fashion company Calvin Klein, which he founded with his youth friend and business partner Barry Schwartz in 1968 and sold to the American clothing multinational Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation at the end of 2002.

Klein graduated from the New York Fashion Institute of Technology in 1964, after which he started his own business. His underwear collections were a hit in the 1980s, partly due to the revolutionary advertising campaign with several almost naked models in exotic postures. The ads made world stars of the models shown, including Kate Moss, Mark Wahlberg and Christy Turlington. In his heyday, Calvin Klein sold about 400,000 jeans a week.

Calvin lives in the Hamptons on Long Island.
