The farmhouse of Zappino The village's name derives from Sappinus (a medieval Latin name), a kind of Pino tree. The architectural complex, located about 5 km from the town in the direction of Terlizzi, consists of a medieval church, a town wall and some factory buildings. In the church of the farmhouse a Madonna is worshiped, raining and salutary in the fields, whose party is held on the first Sunday after Easter. The painting of Our Lady on the altar is oil on canvas.
