Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) is an open ict standard for managing unstructured information in an enterprise (Enterprise Content Management) organization. CMIS has been released by the ICT companies Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, OpenText, SAP and Alfresco. However, CMIS is called SQL for Enterprise Content Management. Thanks to CMIS, different digital storage and archives (different repositories) from different vendors can be accessed by a single application.
