Péladanomania is a term used in Flemish biblical circles for an almost pathological gathering of books and paraphernalia of the Péladandynastie, mainly from Joséphin Péladan. Collective rage
This Péladanomania causes many Péladan collectors to hold a private library about Péladan, collecting certain titles in all different editions and on all different types of paper.
On auctions, these works, like letters, photos and other documents, are traded for prices beyond the reach of the regular reader or researcher of his works. As a result, it becomes difficult to get all the texts of this author in hand. An additional problem is that some of his works were printed in small print (350 to 500 copies) while the Péladanomans are estimated in a few thousands in the world. Extension
When other authors on book auctions get unrealistically high prices, expanding the term is also often referred to as Péladanomania, although these books do not have anything to do with Péladan.
