Capezzone

Disambiguation - If you are looking for a politician, see Daniele Capezzone. Capezzone

The capezzone is a rope-work tool, a pre-instructional and supplementary training technique for the mounted work. It is applied to the horse's head and allows it to be controlled without using a pressure on its mouth, as does a normal headboard. The capezzone consists of a very robust and padded head, with metal rings for connecting it to a long cord; the capezzone must be fixed very firmly, to prevent it from sliding over the horse's eyes. The ring to attach it to the long rope is generally located at the center of the top of the nasiera.

A capezzone can also be used with a threaded headboard. In this case, the capezzone must be worn above the headboard, with the nasiera under its uprights; the latter must be stretched to maintain the correct thread position. You should also remove the capezzine of the headboard. Voices correlateemodify wikitesto
