Kopi Aroma


Kopi Aroma (Indonesian: Paberik Kopi Aroma) is a coffee plant in Bandung. The factory of Paberik Kopi Aroma dates back to 1930 and has since been run by Oleh Tan Houw Sian. In 1936, machines for processing coffee were purchased from the German Probat and these have been in operation until today. In 1971, his son Widyapratama became the first successor and current owner of the company.

Because Widyapratama adheres to the principles of his father Tan Houwian, the coffee is produced without the use of chemicals and pesticides. Also, rubber wood is used for burning the coffee as this wood burns at a lower temperature. For the production of coffee that is completely in the style of Paberik Kopi Aroma, so many manual actions are required, much patience is needed. The whole process of fresh bean coffee lasts for a long time, but guarantees the quality of Paberik Kopi Aroma, which is known throughout the region.

Although the factory is not an official museum, the owner likes to take visitors on a tour through his coffee shop, processing department and shop, explaining the entire process of processing the coffee bean. In addition, the machines and processes are still dating from around 1930.

There are two types of coffee for sale: Robusta and Arabica.
