Offended by shame and sexual honor

In the Italian legal system, the provisions concerning offenses against modesty and sexual honor are contained in Articles 527-538 of the Criminal Code, grouped in Chapter II, Title VIII, Book II.

In addition to the offense of obscene acts, obscene publications and performances are also punished as an autonomous hypothesis of offense. Offenses related to prostitution. (Articles 531- 537) have been replaced by the specific provisions of Law No 75 of 20 February 1958.

The new legal consciousness has led to a reduction in the concept of offense to shame with a shift of the attention of the protected good.

The corruption of minors, originally envisaged by art 530, has now been re-committed in the crimes against personal freedom as a result of art. 1 of the Law of 15 February 1966, no. 66, and took the numbering 609 quinquies. Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto Links externalize the wikitesto
