Robert (Bob) Malcolm Sapp (Colorado Springs, September 22, 1974), nicknamed "The Beast" (sometimes also "Runaway"), is an American K-1 fighter, wrestler and MMA fighter. Initially, the Afro-American played American football, but in martial arts he appeared to be more talented. Records
Despite the loss of his first match by disqualification, Sapp was initially successful in the K-1. In 2002 he defeated Ernesto Hoost twice by technical knockout.
In the first half of 2007, Bobb Sapp of Remy Bonjasky lost in a K1 game. After processing a knock-down, Sapp came back and gave Bonjasky a shot, causing Bonjasky to fall to the ground. Sapp gave a hard blow to Bonjasky, while still lying on the ground. This is the case with MMA, which Sapp does, but allowed at K1, and Sapp was disqualified.
On June 23, 2007, during the K1 finals in the Amsterdam Arena, Bob Sapp disappointed many spectators because he left Aerts after the game after a few seconds and could not get up with the pain in time.
