Eriba-Adad I (... - ...) was a king of Assyria, son of Assur-bel-nisheshu and brother of Assur-rim-nisheshu.
He was probably a vassal of Mitanni, yet this kingdom was involved in a dynastic struggle between Tushratta and his brother Artatama II and later with his son Shuttarna II who, self-proclaimed King of the Hurrites, sought support in his faction among the Assyrian subjects. The Pro-Hurrita / Assyrian faction appeared at the Royal Court of Mitanni and their support will be then exploited by the son and successor of Enlil-nirari ie Ashur-uballit I.
