Lightweight marble is a composite system that is obtained by combining a layer of alveolar material with a thin marble / stone slab. The objective is twofold: obtaining a significantly lower weight coating panel than marble whitewash plates and reducing the cost of the panel (and the use of high quality materials). The system is thus composed of a real marble, granite or stone slab of about 5 mm thick, bonded with resins suitable for a panel, which can be alveolar in aluminum, PVC, polypropylene or glass. The lightened marble has a total weight of about 16 kg / m².
