The place was occupied by the end of the Bronze Age, to be occupied again in the era of Muslim domination in the X and XI centuries. But it was in the Middle Ages that its strategic importance grew for its position between the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon and between the communes of Albarracín, Molina de Aragón and Daroca. The castle expanded and reformed in the middle of the 14th century. Links externalize the wikitesto
