Dicasterie

A dicasterie (from the Greek - δικαστήριον - which was meant to be a court in ancient Athens) is the name of all subdivisions of the Roman Curie within the Catholic Church.

The Congregations, Pontifical Councils and the Papal Courts are called dicastery. The papal committees and all other parts of the Curie, as well as the state secretariat itself, are a dicastery. The head of the congregations and the courts is a prefect; Head of councils and committees is a president or president.

In a restructuring within the Curie in 2016, two organs were set explicitly referred to as dicastery: the dyslexia for the promotion of the entire human development and the dice for play, family and life. Externe link
