This site was on Tambotoco Hill, and had three windows. According to the legend, Maras Sutic's group emerged from one of these openings, taking the name of Maras Toco ("without parents") because of spontaneous generation. According to another theory supported by some groups of South American mysticism, Pacaritambo would be a semi-mythical spot flooded by the floods of Lake Titicaca. There is no evidence, archaeological or other, that suffers this theory, which is based above all on the stories handed down by the Chasa, other tribes that many believe do not actually exist. According to these historians, the term would derive from the chasa Pàchacambo word (meaning "Chaca birthplace").
