Pietro da Napoli (XIV century) was a friar belonging to the Carmelite Order, hermit and occasional painter. Presented in Parma around the middle of the 14th century, he attached his name to a fresco painted on a pillar, depicting the Madonna dressed in a white coat and named for this Santa Maria Bianca. The fresco, built around 1340 (but then extensively rebuilt in the following centuries), is currently placed behind the main altar of the homonymous church annexed to the Parma Carmelite Monastery.
