The World Library Association

The World Library Association was founded in 1925. Members received a discount on World Library expenses, access to concerts, excursions, lectures and other cultural events, and every quarter the premium issue in the mailbox fell. That was the highlight of 30,000 members.

In 1986, the association was lifted and the World Library became a "regular" publishing house. This publishing house commemorates her association with the publication of the book A Flavor of Culture, written by Niek Miedema. The premiums paid in 233 in 61 years are shown in color and with explanatory notes.

The World Library was founded in 1905 by Dr. Leo Simons, with the aim of raising the workers through the better book. It had to be a fund of good and cheap lecture. Although not socialist, he was a socially moved man. With low-priced reissue of Sara Burgerhart and Max Havelaar, he made his first successes.

Meanwhile, the World Library has become a small publisher - one of the few independent publishers who can handle literary and other important issues. Externe link
