A sagittal plane or the contour image of a human head. The alveolar crest is indicated by numbers 4 and 5.
The alveolar crest (also known as the alveolar margin) is one of the two jaws of the jaw or the top of the mouth between the upper teeth and the hard palate or the bottom of the mouth behind the lower teeth. The alveolar ridges contain the teeth (alveoli) of the teeth. They can be heard with the tongue, in the area above the upper teeth or below the teeth. Sounds produced with the tongue that touches the alveolar crest talking are called alveolar.
