In Belgium, Dixan was introduced in 1958. About 1979, Dixan was the first detergent in Belgium that could be used in any washing machine at all temperatures. Thus, the colored arrow that is still used on the package, where blue cold symbolizes and yellow the hot temperatures, is created.
In 1985, Dixan introduced concentrated powder, which required less product per wash. Around 1987, Dixan Liquid was the first liquid detergent that could be used in a washing machine. In 1992, the Megaperls and the concentrated liquid variants followed. History Dixan Belgium Externe link
