Fred Sengers (Haarlem, 1968) is a Dutch journalist and chinese expert.
Sengers worked as a freelancer for Radio Rijnmond, Mare, Leidsch Dagblad, NRC Handelsblad, Adformation and Management Team. Since 1996 he was a media actor (subject area radio and television) at Adformatie (the magazine on advertising, media and marketing). In 1999 he was appointed editor-in-chief of the Incentive magazine. He then spent three years at the publishing company Reed Elsevier the position of chief editor of MarketingTribune. There he also wrote for the marketing blog MarketingPulse. In early 2007 he was appointed as deputy editor of the New Revu. There he was also eight-month editor-in-chief ad interim, following the departure of former editor-in-chief Jan Paul de Wildt. From June 2008 he was the editor of DingenDieGebeuren, the daily news program of the KRO on Radio 1, which has been further developed under the name Goedemorgen Nederland since the new programming on this channel in August 2008. In addition, he served as editor-in-chief of KRO Reporter (research journalism) for two years. Since April 2013, he has established himself as an independent publicist under the name of Blogaap, specializing in news and information about China.
