James Colosimo

Giacomo Colosimo (Colosimi, February 16, 1878 - Chicago, May 11, 1920) better known under the pseudonym James Colosimo or Big Jim Colosimo, was an Italian-American gangster. He, together with his successor Johnny Torrio, is seen as the founder of the Chicago Outfit, one of the most powerful Mafia organizations in the United States and today's only US Mafia organization not covered by the commission. Death

On behalf of his wife's nephew Johnny Torrio, Colosimo was shot in the doorway of his own restaurant. A shooter shot Colosimo nearly twice through the head. For a long time, it was thought that Frank Yale was the offender. However, due to lack of evidence, Yale was released. From later phone calls released by the FBI, it appears that Al Capone (another soldier under Torrio) is the one who has pulled the tractor.
