Mireille Geus


Mireille Geus (Amsterdam, 1964) is a Dutch writer. She wrote books for various publishers. She wrote plays for children and texts for Sesamstraat and Kindernet. She worked together with Wijnand Stomp the book Padu van Miep Diekmann for theater.

She writes books for Uitgeverij Zwijsen, Maretak, Lemniscaat, Gottmer and New Amsterdam. Her second book was Virenzo and I, based on a story that her son once told her. It was awarded Flag & amp; Pennant. With Big, her fourth book, she dragged the Gold Griffel in 2006. Also, Big was nominated for the Deutsche Jugend Buchpreis 2008 and was translated into several languages, such as English, Spanish and Japanese. To Wolf was good for another Flag and Spider in 2008. Geus writes for the writing Writing a column about writing youth literature. In March 2016 her debut novel for adults became an easy kid at the new Amsterdam publishing house.
