The Garden of Adonis is a composition by Alan Hovhaness.
Hovhaness has remained a romanticist throughout his life, which he also translated into his works. In The Garden of Adonis (the Garden of Adonis), the composer pictured the return of life into a garden after a winter. Adonis was allowed to lead earthquake after consultation between Zeus and Hades one half of the year; the other half he had to spend in the Elysium.
