The Swallow (Kesteren)


The Swallow is a grain mill in Kesteren in the Dutch province of Gelderland.

The mill was built in 2002 for the Timmer family using parts of a German mill. The name De Zwaluw is a to the ruined mill in Brakel, which was once owned by the same family.

The Swallow is a large eight-legged upper pine with outbuildings in which there is a restaurant. The rows of the wicker cross are fitted with the brake system with brake valves and sails. The mill is milled with two pairs of millstones (a blue stone and a natural stone) and meals on a voluntary basis on a regular basis. 51° 56′ 14″ NB, 5° 35′ 41″ OL
