Tom Robert Adrie Veen (Ambarawa (Dutch-India), January 14, 1942 - Viterbo (Italy) August 13, 2014) was a Dutch teacher and politician for the People's Party for Liberty and Democracy (VVD). Lifecycle
After HBS, he studied planning at the University of Amsterdam and economics at the University of Groningen. He started his career as a teacher. After that, he was a lecturer of planning at the Dutch Scientific Institute for Tourism and Recreation. Then Veen owned a planning consultancy. From 2 July 1974 to 1981, Veen worked as a member of the Provincial States of Gelderland. From 18 September 1979 until 13 September 1983 he was a member of the First Chamber of the States General.
