The right to criminal prosecution is the norm that regulates the ways in which the sentences imposed by convictions (as provided for by criminal law) are exempted.
It therefore includes both the part of the code of criminal procedure relating to the execution of definitive penalties, and the penitentiary system (for the punishments in prison and for the granting of alternative penalties) external criminal prosecution (for the punishment or the part of the punishment discounted or to be taken out of jail, that is the alternative penises to the detention).
