Willem de Pony (English: Bill the Pony) is a fictional animal in the book In the Ring of the Ring of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Willem is bought for an extremely high price of 12 silver pearls for Frodo and the Hobbits who are with him multiple dishes by Gersteman Boterbloem. Their own ponies were stolen from the stables of the Inn 'De Steigerende Pony' in Breeg the night before. Sam Divisions had given him the name of his previous owner, Willem Varentje.
Willem goes along with the Travel Society of the Ring to the West Door of Moria where Sam leaves him because he can not take part in the intended journey by Moria. Willem finds the way back to Breeg, where Buttercup takes him under his control. The Hobbits reiterate him on their return journey in the stables of the 'De Steigerende Pony'. Sam then takes Willem to Hobbitstee.
