Be Brahma


Vara Brahma is the Thai form of Hindu Veda Brahma. Vara Brahma's worship is very popular in some areas of China, except in Thailand. In Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Buddhist temples where Vara Brahma is celebrated is often found. The most popular Thai venue of worship of this god is in the Erawans Chrine in Bangkok.

Vara Brahma is depicted with four faces that look at each of the four wind directions. By his face, this is called "four-faced Buddha" in Chinese culture.

Believers usually offer incense, candles, jasmine flowers and slings and milk of young coconuts. The sacrifice is done four times, on each face of Vara Brahma. Each face stands for certain topics that one can pray for.
