He was a Jedi Master and Holocaust Conservative that Luke Skywalker and Princess Leila Organa had extracted from the reborn Emperor Palpatine. Bodo Baas was part of a Jedi group living in the Adega system six hundred years before the first Black Death was destroyed. By becoming a Jedi Master, Bodo received a holocron Jedi, a cube that contained the history of the Jedi of the past. Master Bodo recorded his story and that of other Jedi so that future generations could benefit from his advice.
During the extermination of the Jedi, Emperor Palpatine executed Bodo Baas for "crimes against the Empire" and the holocron was brought to Wayland. Although Palpatine could hear many of the stories contained in the holocron, he could not access those that required a powerful user in the Light.
