Borssum (Emden)


Borssum is a village in the German state of Lower Saxony. Administratively, it is part of the city of Emden. The village on the Eems is southeast of the city.

The history of the village dates back to the seventh century. It originated from two cores, Groot Borssum and Klein Borssum, both of whom have known a deposit. Today, the Westerburg School and the Oosterburg School are at the location of both sponsors.

The historic village with a church from the thirteenth century, especially after the war, has become one of the larger districts of Emden.
