Gerard Boekhoff


Gerard Boekhoff (Amsterdam, June 6, 1962) is a Dutch former politician for the PvdA. Education

Boekhoff obtained his vwo diploma at Cartesius Lyceum in Amsterdam and then his doctoral exam sociology in 1989 at the University of Amsterdam. He also obtained his master's degree in public administration in 2001 at Utrecht University. Activities

He has been seconded as a research scientist at the University of Utrecht for a number of years, from 1994 to 2006 he was director of the Nierpatients Vereniging Nederland. In 2006 he was appointed deputy chairman of the municipality of Bussum. In that capacity he was responsible for healthcare & amp; welfare, finance, work & amp; income of this North Holland municipality. Boekhoff remained an elder until 2016 when the municipality of Bussum was lifted and resurrected in the new municipality of Gooise Lakes. After that, Boekhoff was until the end of June 2016 a group chairman in the council of the new fusion community. Since June 2016 he has been working as Director of the Almenaarde Welfare Organization De Schoor. In addition, he is the director and supervisor in care.
