Giuliano (son of Constantine III)

Giuliano (Latin: Iulianus; ... - 411) was the son of the Roman Constantine "III" who contended the kingdom with the Emperor Honorio.

Giuliano was the son of Constantine and his younger brother Constant "II". After the acclamation of Emperor Constantine by the Roman troops stationed in Britain, the usurper raised Constant to the rank of Caesar and, shortly after, Giuliano to that of nobilissimus (408).

In 411 Constantine hiccup ended with the siege and conquest of Arles by Flavio Costanzo; Giuliano was captured with his father, then the two prisoners were sent to Italy and assassinated. Their heads were exhibited in Cartagena, Spain. Notemodify wikitesto Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto
