Short course of psychoanalysis

A short course of psychoanalysis is a synthetic but exhaustive compendium on the fundamental concepts of classical psychoanalytic theory. It is easy to read and does not require a particular psychoanalytic cultural background and is an indispensable basis for any study. Written by Charles Brenner in the 1960s and published in Italy in 1967, this text is still valid, adopted in all American medical schools.

The first chapter examines the two fundamental hypotheses of psychoanalysis that are psychic determinism and the presence of the unconscious. In the second chapter, sexual drives are examined, while in the third, fourth and fifth chapters the psychic apparatus is discussed. In the sixth chapter we talk about paraprassies and slogans of spirit in the seventh of dreams, while in the eighth chapter psychopathology is considered. Editing the wikitesto editing
