Üetliberg (train)

The Üetliberg was a European international train for the Zurich-Stuttgart association.

The railways have given names to their trains from the outset. The first locomotives, for example, had names like Rocket, Arend and Limmat. As the rail network grew further, long-distance trains were also named, such as the California Zephyr in the United States and the Oriente Express in Europe. Both the CIWL and the Mitropa had already named their long-distance trains before World War II. The train is named after the highest point in the city of Zurich, the Üetliberg. Eurocity

The Üetliberg was included in the timetable on 23 May 1993 as Eurocity. He formed a couple with the EC Killesberg riding a mirror-image timetable. The train departed from Zurich to Stuttgart in the morning and returned to Zurich-Flughafen in the afternoon. After a serious incident with one of the train stations used on 22 July 1994, the train was taken on 7 August 1994. Rolling material

The train service was provided by the SBB's multi-system train stations.
