Bolting is a technological process for making joints between components of a structure by applying bolts. Unlike nailing, the bolted joints are removable. In the bolted joint, the bolt can be assimilated to a spring that compresses the two contact surfaces creating a friction that prevents it from sliding. Therefore, junction is not secured by the presence of the bolt that prevents cutting because the bolt stem should not even touch the edges of the hole in which it is inserted.
