Dong Feng (Jiaxiang: Fujian, Fuzhou, Minhou) was a doctor specialized in traditional Chinese medicine. He lived during the end of the Eastern Han dynasty. Together with Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjing, he belongs to the Three Medicines of Emperor Jian'an's Time. Compared to the other two, there is little known about Dong Feng. There are many myths around Dongfeng. As a result, he is worshiped by the people of Fujian and Jiangxi as a god of medicine.
Mr. Dong was a very selfless man; He did not ask a penny for his treatment. All he asked was that if his patients were healthy again, they would plant an apricot tree in his jiaxiang. This has led to a hot forest now.
