F3-FB1

F3-FB1 is an oil and gas production platform of the NAM / Shell. It was built in 1993. The station is located in the middle of the North Sea, about 200 km north of the Netherlands.

The construction consists of two platforms, namely an accommodation platform (AP) and a production platform (PP). There is a 60 meter bridge between both platforms and both platforms have a rescue loop. The oil or condensate recovered is stored in a gravity-based structure (a concrete structure on the seabed), and the gas passes through a 260 kilometer long pipeline ashore.

The platform is also used as a weather station by the KNMI. The station is located at different sources between 25 and 50 meters above NAP. After 6 January 2009, the station did not pass any weather data, it rebooted on November 9, 2009. This station has METAR code EHFD. 54° 51′ 14″ NB, 4° 41′ 46″ OL
