Jesse Marsh


Jesse Marsh (July 27, 1907 - April 28, 1966) was an American comic strip and animationist. He gained a lot of fame through his work for the early "Tarzan" books.

In the Dutch-speaking area, Marsh also acquired fame by Robin Hood, a newspaper streak, published in 1952. He made the drawings, Frank Reilly wrote the text.

The collaboration between Marsh and Reilly produced numerous comics, including about the Irish setter Roy, derived from the Walt Disney movie Big Red and appeared in the youth magazine Pep (1962).

Tarzan was continued by Russ Manning in 1965, because Marsh struggled with health problems. The year after that he died.
