The National Portfolio Company (NPM) (French: Compagnie Nationale à Portfolio (CNP)) is a Belgian holding company that was part of BEL20.
The company is managed by Albert Frère's family. Through a number of unlisted stockholdings, NPM, together with Power Financial Corporation, has shared control over GBL, also a holding company in BEL20.
In March 2011, the Frère and BNP Paribas family made a bid of 1.5 billion for 27.8% of the shares of the National Portfolio Company that they had not yet owned. The offer was made through the Fingen company, which is 53% owned by the Frère family and for the other part of BNP Paribas has been done. On 2 May 2011, the National Portfolio Company was retrieved from the stock exchange after approval by Fingen shareholders.
