Willem Laurens (Wim) Riemens (Middelburg, 11 October 1933 - Middelburg, February 16, 1995) was a Dutch photographer. biography
He followed a training as a merchant officer and was a photographer car dancer. Since 1958 he worked as a photojournalist and until 1972 he was affiliated with the Provincial Zeeland Courant. Then he worked as a freelance photographer.
Riemens exhibited in, among others, Paris (Prix Niépce, 1968), New York (World in Color, 1969), Amsterdam (Jazz in the Bimhuis, 1977), Middelburg (Vleeshal, 1985) and Ahlen (Stadtgalerie, 1991). Collections of his work can be viewed at the province of Zeeland, Rabo Investment Zurich, Musée de Chalon, Museum of Modern Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, Musée Suisse de la Photographie Vevey and Nagasaki City.
In 1995, Riemens died of the effects of Creutzfeldt-Jakob's disease. Boekuitgaven Prices
