Sheriff Woody Pride, a toy cowboy, is a character from the (3D) animation films Toy Story. His English voice was done by Tom Hanks, in Dutch by Gijs Scholten of Aschat, Peter Paul Muller and Huub Dikstaal and in Flemish by Warre Borgmans. Information
Woody is Andy's favorite play, as featured at the beginning of the movie Toy Story. But before his birthday, Andy received a new play called Buzz Lightyear. Buzz is newer and more modern than Woody. Woody wanted to leave that Buzz, but later Buzz left and Woody began to search him. When Woody Buzz had saved, they became good friends!
In Toy Story 2, Woody is stolen by a man named Al. He tries to bring him to a toy museum and get rich. Woody goes to Al's Speelkeet temporarily. There he becomes friends with Jessie and her horse Bullbeast (called Bullseye in English). Eventually he is rescued by Buzz and Andy's other toys.
In Toy Story 3, Woody and Buzz have no more playing time with Andy. In the film, Andy has become 17 years old and does not have the toys anymore. So after a mistake, they go to a day-trip called Sunnyside, which is controlled by an evil bear named Lotso. The bear pretends to be a sweet bear but later they discover that Lotso is bad. If Woody is accidentally taken by a girl named Bonnie, Bonnie's toys tells him that Lotso is bad. Woody decides to save the toys, and he succeeds.
