Baltoro Kangri

The Baltoro Kangri (Urdu: بالتورو کانگری) or Golden Throne (English for Golden Throne) is a 7312 meter high mountain in Pakistani Karakoram. The mountain is south of the Baltoro Muztagh chain, which includes the higher Gasherbrum (8068 m) and K2 (8611 m).

In the southwest, the Baltoro Kangri is connected to the Chogolisa (7665 m) and to the east with the Siachen Muztagh chain and the Saltoro Muztagh chain. At the foot of the west flank of the mountain lies the origins of the vast Baltorogletsjer. To the north of the mountain lies the Abbruzigletsjer, a Baltorogletsjer's side glacier.

The Golden Throne name was designed by mountain climber William Martin Conway (1856-1937). 35° 38′ NB, 76° 40′ OL
