Roast of Alkemade is a Dutch and Belgian noble gender. History
The proven tribal series begins with Elbert N.N. whose wife Belle Jacobsdr. mentioned in 1553. Their son Roelof Elbertsz. was dairy buyer in Amsterdam. A grandson of the latter is named Roest and married in 1630 with Catharina Van Alkemade († 1657); Their son takes the name Rust of Alkemade.
In 1814 and 1816 two members of the genus were included in knightships and belonged to the Dutch nobility: Also see
