Rumtek


Rumtek is a Tibetan monastery located 24 kilometers from Gangtok in Sikkim, India and is Sikkim's largest and most important monastery. The monastery belongs to the Tibetan Buddhist kagyuorde and is a replica of the original Kagyupa headquarters in Tsurpu, Tibet, not far from Lhasa.
