Carnival parade is a parade held during carnival.
A lot of places and villages, especially in the provinces of North Brabant, Limburg and in a part of Zeeland (especially Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and a number of places on South Beveland), but also outside, have a carnival parade. This parade is one of the highlights of the carnival.
At the end of a parade, prizes are awarded for the most beautiful chariot, the best running group or the best individual act. In the case of larger tours, there is often a public prize in addition to the jury price. In some stages, this competition is linked to the carnival motto of the relevant organizing carnival association, and it is therefore considered which participants have best performed. Often during the procession the (local) politics is taken care of or Prince Carnival is being watched. Today, more and more interaction with the public is being sought.
The final parade of the parade is traditionally the carriage of Prince Carnival and the Board of Elf. They finish the procession and disperse candy to the public.
Most rides are organized locally, with participants taking their own village or town. However, there are also larger walks with participants from all over the region. Such great walks in Brabant and Limburg can be found in Breda, Tilburg, Bergen op Zoom, Eindhoven, Roosendaal, Hapert (Kempenoptocht), Valkenswaard, Soerendonk, Budel, Heerlen, Weert (Maastricht, Roermond) a sittard Outside Brabant and Limburg, the showcases in Oldenzaal (Twente) and in 's-Heerenhoek (South Beveland, Zeeland) are great.
Over the Moerdijk there are great walks in Hoogland, Noordwijkerhout, Oldenzaal and Zwaag. The procession of Kloosterburen is known as the northernmost in the Netherlands.

In many places there is also a special children's parade, often organized by elementary school, in addition to the grand parade. This is a smaller form of carnival parade, where the children dressed a parade in the vicinity of the school.
