Claudio Cangiotti won in 1974 the XXIV Italian Matchmaking Chess Championship. His victory is of particular importance in the history of Italian chess because he ended the dominance of Giorgio Porreca, who came to the XXIV Championship after seven wins, of which six consecutive. The tournament was decided by the direct confrontation, in which Cangiotti battled Porreca, to which it would be enough to become a champion again.

In the table game you will remember a game full of sacrifices and counter-inscriptions with the well-known GM Peruvian Esteban Canal, played at the 1974 La Spezia International Tournament.

She died on April 20, 2012, following a motorway incident at Fidenza highway. Notemodify wikitesto Voices correlateemodify wikitesto Links externalize the wikitesto
