Jo Maes (Bredene, 1923) is a Belgian painter, practitioner of applied arts and interior designer.

He graduated from the Ghent Academy (ornamental arts, 1939-1946). His brother Jan Maes was a sculptor and died at a young age. He is the author of two major wall concerts in the hall of the former headquarters building on the Hendrik Serruyslaan in Ostend (today a cultural center) and the figuratively decorated windows in the premises of the Telephony and Telegraph in the same building (architect Gaston Eysselinck). He also designed window decorations for the Casino-Kursaal in Oostende (architect Léon Stynen) and reliefs on the facade of the Gemeente School in Bredene. Museums Literature
