Maurice Burrus (March 8, 1882 - December 5, 1959) was a French tobacco industry and philatelist. Philatelist
From the beginning he saved stamps and with the family capital he could create a precious collection. With the English King George V and American Industrial Arthur Hind, he belonged to the main buyers when the collection of Philipp von Ferrary was auctioned. Later he bought two copies of the Post Office Mauritius. In the run-up to World War II, he managed to bring important parts of his collection into Switzerland and the United States. Externe link
