Emic and Ethics are terms used in social sciences and behavior, coined by linguist Kenneth L. Pike borrowing them from the endings of English words phonemics and phonetics. The two terms are usually translated into Italian with the ethical-ethical expression.
In anthropology, the term emic refers to the viewpoint of social actors, their beliefs, and their values (the optic of the native).
Ethics refers instead to the representation of the same phenomena by the researcher ("scientific", or viewer).
