Michel Montignac (Angoulême, 1944 - Annemasse, August 22, 2010) was a French writer and scientist. He is famous for his slimming, the Montignac diet. biography
Montignac was obese as a child, just like his father. He studied political science and then specialized in psychology. For a while he was active in international pharmaceuticals. In the 80's he decided to investigate his weight problem and sought a healthy diet of diets. He found a new method in which he lost more than 15 kilograms in three months without counting calories.
In 1986 he released his first book, which immediately became a success. His best-known book, "You many, donc your maigris!" ("I'm eating, so I'm falling off") (1987) was sold in 45 countries, translated into 26 languages and dropped 18 million times.
In the late 90's, Montignac became so famous that the verb "Montignaccen" became a widely used word for a long time. Father Abraham even took a single in 1997 entitled "With all his Montignaccen".
Montignac died at the age of 66 in a clinic in Annemasse. His daughter Sybille is dietician. Externe link
