Modern version of the flag
The Sunburst flag is a flag associated with Irish Irish nationalism and most recently young Irish rows of Irish Republican groups, such as the Eireann Na fianna. Sunshine was already present in Irish mythology for Fianna groups. Described as valiant fighters, who were able to complete many and glamorous businesses, the Fianna were self-defining Gal Gréine or Scal Ghréine, which means "blast of sunshine."
